The Columbus Blue Jackets and Minnesota Wild look to move up in their respective divisions as they battle to make noise in the race for the Stanley Cup Playoffs in front of a national television audience Monday.
The Blue Jackets (17-15-3) and the Wild (16-14-4) will face off at Nationwide Arena with a 7:30 p.m. start time. The game will be available on Versus in the United States and TSN2 in Canada.
Both teams will be looking to get back on track after losses on Sunday. The Wild are third in the Northwest Division and the Blue Jackets are fifth in the Central, but Columbus is four points out of the eighth spot in the Western Conference while the Wild trail by five points.
It was definitely emotional. I really appreciated the fans. It was a cool feeling and it felt special and the ovation there at the start and then you kind of feel funny out there standing by yourself. Thinking back, I was saying just a bit ago, you think back just trying to make the NHL and then you kind of reflect on all the years being able to play for a great organization here in Calgary and all the fun I've had so far in my career. I feel very fortunate and blessed.
