How do I get to Heinz Field?
Heinz Field is conveniently located across from downtown Pittsburgh on the North Shore at 900 Art Rooney Ave Pittsburgh, PA 15212. Downtown shuttle service to Heinz Field is available on the 98D Strip District and 98F Grant Street – First Ave Station. Special Port Authority buses will offer suburban routes on game day similar to those run for Steelers games at no cost. Additionally, Gateway Clipper Riverboat Shuttles will be running from Station Square on game day.


I am bringing my young child to the game, will they need a ticket?
Yes, all patrons regardless of age need a ticket.


Will there be any festivities surrounding the 2011 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic?
Yes, come enjoy music, food & beverage, interactive hockey-themed attractions and live NHL Network Broadcast at Spectator Plaza on the East side of Heinz Field, December 31st 8:30am – 5:00pm EST and pre-game Saturday January 1, from 3:00pm – Start of Game. Also set to take place over the Winter Classic Weekend is an Alumni game between Pittsburgh Penguins alumni taking on Washington Capitals alumni at Heinz Field on December 31 at 9:30am.


When will gates open to enter Heinz Field?
On January 1st, gates will open two and a half hours prior to game time at 5:30pm EST. Fans should arrive early to eliminate lines at security checks.


Which gate should I use to enter to Heinz Field?
There are three main gates to enter Heinz Field: Gate A on the south side of the stadium, Gate B on the Northeast side of the stadium and Gate C on the Northwest side of the stadium.

Is there a designated driver program for the 2011 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic?
At this year's game, the NHL will partner with Budweiser and Aramark to promote the "Good Sport" program which supports positive behavior and social responsibility among fans. Fans can pledge to be a "Good Sport" by signing up to be a designated driver at Heinz Field guest service locations. Registrants for the program must be 21 years of age with a valid driver's license. In return for promising responsibility of the safe and sober transportation of their group from Heinz Field, a registrant will receive one coupon redeemable for a soft drink and the opportunity to win a prize pack. Coupons can be redeemed at all permanent concession stands.
