One of the NHL's great rivalries will be renewed again Friday night when the Chicago Blackhawks host the Detroit Red Wings at the United Center.

The NHL Network will show the game to American viewers, beginning at 8:30 p.m. ET. It's the Wings' first visit to Chicago since Oct. 9, when they spoiled the Hawks' banner-raising with a 3-2 victory.

Chicago is coming off a 4-3 home loss to Colorado on Thursday, the same night the Wings beat St. Louis 5-2 at home.

The Wings-Hawks game is one of four on Friday's NHL schedule.

The action starts at 7 p.m. ET when the Nashville Predators visit New Jersey. Both teams are coming off home victories on Wednesday -- Nashville edged San Jose 3-2 while the Devils shut out Phoenix 3-0.

A half-hour later, Buffalo tries to build on Wednesday's 3-2 win against Boston when it visits Florida. The Panthers are trying to rebound after a 4-3 loss to Carolina on Wednesday in which they blew an early 3-0 lead.

At 9 p.m. ET, Ottawa continues its road trip with a visit to Colorado in a game that can be seen on RDS in Canada. The Avs will be trying for their fifth win in a row.
