There figures to be some electricity at Madison Square Garden on Sunday night when the Washington Capitals pay their second visit of the season to New York for a meeting with the Rangers.
The NHL Network will be on hand to show the game to viewers in the United States, beginning at 7 p.m. ET. Both teams will be trying to bounce back after losses on Saturday -- the Caps were beaten 3-2 at home by Colorado, while the Rangers are back home after a 3-1 loss at Columbus.
The Caps-Rangers game is one of three on Sunday's schedule. Both of the others start at 8 p.m. ET.
At Anaheim, the Ducks say goodbye to their fans until New Year's Eve when they host the Minnesota Wild. The Ducks are coming off a 3-2 shootout victory against Calgary on Friday; after the game against the Wild, they play their next seven on the road.
Also at 8, the Edmonton Oilers try to build on Friday's spectacular 4-3 shootout victory against Tampa Bay when they host Vancouver.
