Chicago Blackhawks forward Marian Hossa had to be helped off the ice Monday following a collision in practice with teammate Nick Boynton.
The hit left both players lying on the ice. Boynton got up and finished practice, later saying he just had the wind knocked out of him. Hossa, however, went right to the locker room.
"I just kind of got the wind knocked out of me, personally, so I'm not sure if he got the worse end of the stick or what happened," Boynton told the Chicago Tribune. "We both obviously didn't see each other, I don't think. So I'm not sure what's up."
The Blackhawks did not release an update on Hossa's condition or availability for Tuesday's game against the St. Louis Blues.
Hossa has 8 goals and 18 points in 21 games. He missed five games earlier this season with an upper-body injury.
