Six pack of live games on NHL Network
The NHL Network will be the place to be for hockey fans this week, with live NHL action on six consecutive nights.

The busy week starts tonight, when the Detroit Red Wings visit San Jose for a game that will start at 10:30 p.m. ET. It's the Wings' first visit to San Jose since the Sharks knocked Detroit out in the second round of the playoffs last spring.

On Wednesday, the Washington Capitals will try to become the first Eastern Conference team to beat the Blues when they visit St. Louis for an 8 p.m. start. The Blues are 7-0-0 against the East -- and 8-0-1 at the Scottrade Center.

After hosting the Red Wings, the Sharks head East to open a road trip with a rare visit to Ottawa. That game, only the third visit by San Jose to Scotiabank Place since 2002, gets under way at 7:30 p.m. ET.

On Friday night, the Chicago Blackhawks will try to extend their mastery of Vancouver when they host the Canucks at 8:30 p.m. ET. The Hawks have eliminated the Canucks from the playoffs in each of the last two seasons and routed them 7-1 in Vancouver on Nov. 20.

Saturday night always means hockey in Canada, and the NHL Network and Hockey Night in Canada will air the Dec. 5 game between longtime rivals Boston and Toronto from the Air Canada Centre, beginning at 7 p.m. ET.

The busy week of hockey concludes Sunday night back in Chicago, where the Hawks will host the Calgary Flames, beginning at 7 p.m. ET.
