Panthers deal defenseman Paetsch to Canucks
The Vancouver Canucks added another new defenseman to their roster Thursday with the acquisition of Nathan Paetsch from the Florida Panthers in exchange for defenseman Sean Zimmerman.

Paetsch, 27, split the 2009-10 season with Columbus and Buffalo. He registered 2 points (1-1-2) in 11 games with Buffalo and 6 penalty minutes in 10 games with Columbus. In 167 NHL games he has totalled 7 goals and 42 points, with 114 penalty minutes and a plus-12 rating.

Zimmerman, 23, finished the 2009-10 season with nine points (2-7-9) and 105 penalty minutes in 72 games played with the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL.

Vancouver also added defenseman Ryan Parent in a trade Wednesday with Nashville for Shane O'Brien.
