Bruins' Savard out indefinitely
According to multiple reports, Boston Bruins center Marc Savard has been diagnosed with post-concussion syndrome and will not take part in training camp for the immediate future.
BOSTON -- This afternoon Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli told the hockey media that Boston's all-star center Marc Savard will not be joining his teammates on the ice for the start of the club's raining camp.

"The latter part of the summer, he came to us and said he's been suffering some symptoms related to post-concussion syndrome," said Chiarelli.

"He's here. He's being treated. He won't be skating.

"I'll give you updates periodically when I have information. He won’t be available to the media [and] I'll keep you posted as I learn the news."

On March 7, 2010, Savard suffered a concussion after a blindside hit by Pittsburgh Penguins forward Matt Cooke. He missed 18 regular season games and six playoff games.
