Vancouver Canucks President & General Manager Mike Gillis announced today that centre Brendan Morrison will attend the Canucks Main Training Camp in Penticton, BC, on a Professional Tryout (PTO).
Morrison, 35, played 74 games last season with the Washington Capitals, recording 42 points (12-30-42) and 40 penalty minutes. In 829 career NHL regular season games, Morrison has scored 187 goals, while adding 360 assists (187-360-547) and 424 penalty minutes.
The native of Pitt Meadows, BC, has played for five teams during his NHL career including the Canucks from 1999.00–2007.08. In 543 games in a Canucks uniform, Morrison recorded 393 points (136-257-393) and ranks 11th in all-time franchise scoring.
