Preds swap McKenzie to Thrashers for Lewis
Nashville Predators acquire Grant Lewis from Atlanta.
The Nashville Predators have acquired defenseman Grant Lewis from the Atlanta Thrashers in exchange for forward Ian McKenzie.

Lewis, 25, split the 2009-10 season between the AHL’s Chicago Wolves and Hershey Bears, and appeared in one postseason contest during the Bears’ run to the 2010 Calder Cup. Lewis also played on the Wolves’ 2008 Calder Cup-winning team, has posted 44 points (3g-41a) and 145 penalty minutes in 133 AHL contests since turning pro in 2007. He has also appeared in one NHL game with the Thrashers on March 3, 2009 vs. Florida.

McKenzie split last season between the AHL and ECHL. He scored 1 goal in 24 games for the Milwaukee Admirals and 3 goals and 2 assists with the Cincinnati Cyclones.
Quote of the Day

Obviously a lot happened in a short period of time. At the end of the day, considering everything I went through, I really felt close to my teammates and I really feel like what we accomplished, I know we didn't win it all. ... I'm really proud of how we got there and what we did once we got there.
