Maple Leafs add Clarke MacArthur
Clarke MacArthur, who became a free agent earlier this summer after the Atlanta Thrashers walked away from his arbitration decision, signed a one-year contract Saturday with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The 25-year-old forward split last season between the Thrashers and Buffalo Sabres, registering a career-high 35 points (16 goals, 19 assists). He was dealt to Atlanta on March 3 in exchange for third- and fourth-round picks in the 2010 Entry Draft.

MacArthur, a third-round pick by Buffalo in the 2003 Entry Draft, has played in 208 career regular-season NHL games, totaling 44 goals and 88 points. He scored a career-high 17 goals for the Sabres during the 2008-09 season.
