The Dallas Stars helped solidify their blue line Thursday as they re-signed defenseman Nicklas Grossman to a two-year contract worth $3.25 million.
Grossman, 25, is entering his third full season in Dallas. He appeared in 71 games for the Stars in 2009-10 and tallied 7 assists and 32 penalty minutes.
Overall, the 6-foot-4, 226-pound defenseman has 2 goals, 24 assists and 109 penalty minutes in 222 regular-season games. Grossman also has a goal and an assist in 18 playoff matches.
Grossman was selected by the Stars in the second round (No. 56) of the 2004 Entry Draft.
