Boynton back with Blackhawks
Chicago Blackhawks re-sign Nick Boynton.
The Chicago Blackhawks have re-signed defenseman Nick Boynton to a one-year contract.

Acquired from the Anaheim Ducks on March 2, Boynton had 1 assist and a plus-4 rating in seven regular-season games, and was scoreless with a plus-2 rating in three Stanley Cup Playoff games -- Games 4, 5 and 6 of the Final.

The 31-year-old had 8 points (1 goal, 7 assists) and a plus-5 rating in 49 games last season with the Ducks and Blackhawks. He also earned 5 assists in 15 AHL games, with Manitoba and Rockford.

A 1999 first-round draft pick of the Boston Bruins, Boynton has 136 points in 554 games with the Bruins, Coyotes, Panthers, Ducks and Blackhawks.
