Report: Forsberg not optimistic on return

According to a televised interview on Swedish television, Peter Forsberg isn't optimistic that he has healed sufficiently to return to pro hockey.

"It's no good," Forsberg told TV6.  "I have no balance skating.  If it continues to be as it is today, I will not continue playing."

Forsberg, 36, last played in the NHL with the Colorado Avalanche for nine games in the 2007-08 season. Last season in Sweden, persistent foot injuries limited him to only 23 games. Forsberg did compete in the 2010 Olympics but was a shell of his former self.

Quote of the Day

It was a big dream. [Messi] is probably the best athlete out there, so it's a big honor, for [Kuznetzov] as well. It's maybe a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet the best player in soccer right now. I'm a big Barcelona fan and Messi fan, so it's huge. You can take [Michael] Jordan, [Mark] Messier, [Wayne] Gretzky, those kinds of [people]. It's an honor to meet. It's nice to be in that position.
