Louis Leblanc, who the Montreal Canadiens selected with the 18th pick of the 2009 Entry Draft, has signed a three-year, entry-level deal with the team.
Last season, Leblanc played at Harvard University, where he led the team in a number of offensive categories, including goals (11), assists (12), points (23), and game-winning goals (3). Leblanc was named Ivy League Rookie of the Year and was a finalist for ECAC Rookie of the Year.
He's currently preparing for Hockey Canada's National Junior Evaluation Camp, which will be held Aug. 4-7 in St. John's, Nfld. That camp will go a long way in helping set Canada's roster for the 2011 World Junior Championship.
