Vancouver Canucks defenseman Sami Salo suffered an Achilles tear while training and is out indefinitely pending further evaluation, the club announced Friday.
The Canucks said there will be no further comment from the club or Salo at this time.
Salo, 35, played in 68 games last season, recording 9 goals and 19 assists, and was a plus-14. He added 1 goal and 5 assists in 12 playoff games. In 665 career regular-season games with the Ottawa Senators and Canucks, Salo has 81 goals and 192 assists, with 9 goals and 17 assists in 74 playoff games.
It seems like I'm kind of making it a little difficult on myself here the last two games.
