The St. Louis Blues announced Monday that they have re-signed forward Ryan Reaves to a one-year, two-way contract.

Reaves, 23, skated in 76 games last season for the Peoria Rivermen, the Blues’ American Hockey League affiliate, collecting 11 points (4 goals, 7 assists) while leading the team with an AHL career-high 167 penalty minutes. The 6-1, 225-pound forward has spent the last three seasons in Peoria, playing in 164 games, registering 35 points (16 goals, 19 assists) and 343 penalty minutes.
The Winnipeg native was originally drafted by the Blues in the fifth round (No. 156) in the 2005 Entry Draft.
Quote of the Day

It's an incredible feeling just to see it go in and see the Joe go pretty crazy.  Ever since the introduction there, I was kind of feeling the nerves, and to put that one home, I started to feel comfortable and I thought my play started to pick up.
