Jamie Lundmark agreed to a one-year, two-way contract with the Nashville Predators on Friday.

The 29-year-old veteran of six NHL seasons played for Calgary and Toronto last season, combining to score 5 goals and 12 points in 36 games.

Lundmark is a former first-round pick of the New York Rangers, taken No. 9 in the 1999 Entry Draft. He broke into the League with the Blueshirts in 2002-03, registering 8 goals and 19 points in 55 games.

In 295 career regular-season games for the Rangers, Coyotes, Flames, Kings and Maple Leafs, Lundmark has 40 goals and 99 points. He also has an assist in six postseason games.

Playing for my favorite team growing up, I've probably scored that goal a million times in my driveway. It feels good to actually do it in real life.

— Dale Weise, who grew up a Canadiens fan, on scoring the overtime winner in Montreal's 5-4 victory against Tampa Bay in Game 1
