Anyone who wants to see Mike Fisher
play hockey can buy a ticket to an Ottawa Senators
game, but not even a majority of the guests at his upcoming wedding seem to know where the event will be taking place.
According to a report on CTV Ottawa, the wedding of Fisher and country superstar Carrie Underwood will take place this coming weekend at a resort that will be shut down exclusively for the nuptials.
Senators forward Chris Neil
and defenseman Chris Phillips
are among those who will be in attendance. As teammates of Fisher, they might have a clue where they're headed, but the CTV report said guests won't find out until they show up at the airport Thursday and are given plane tickets where their destination will be.
Fisher, who turned 30 last month, had career highs of 25 goals and 53 points last season. The 10-year veteran, who was a second-round pick of Ottawa in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft, proposed to Underwood, a former American Idol winner, just before Christmas last year.
