The St. Louis Blues re-signed forward Brad Winchester Friday. Winchester, 29, played in 64 games this past season, scoring 3 goals and 5 assists and a career-high 108 penalty minutes. During the 2008-09 campaign, Winchester registered career-highs in points (21), goals (13) and assists (eight). Winchester has skated in 247 career NHL games with the Blues, Edmonton Oilers and Dallas Stars, collecting 42 points (21 goals, 21 assists) along with 350 penalty minutes.
The Madison, Wisconsin native was signed by St. Louis as a free agent on July 16, 2008 and was originally Edmonton’s second round selection, 35th overall, in the 2000 Entry Draft.
