Blues name Taylor Director of Player Personnel
St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has named Dave Taylor as Director of Player Personnel.

"Dave Taylor is one of the most well respected people in our game," said Armstrong. "He played and managed in the NHL and his experience and knowledge will be a great asset for our organization."

Taylor comes from the Dallas Stars, where he served three seasons as their Director of Player Personnel. He came to Dallas in 2007 after spending 30 years with the Los Angeles Kings organization as a player and member of the front office.

Taylor served as Director of Amateur Development for the Kings in 2006-07 after completing nine seasons from 1997-2006 as the club's General Manager. Compiling a record of 290-261-105, Taylor is the winningest GM in Kings' history. In his final year as General Manager in 2005-06, the Kings equaled a franchise record in home wins (26). His teams earned 90-plus points for three-straight seasons from 1999-2002 for the first time in franchise history.

Under Taylor's leadership, the Kings succeeded at the draft table selecting Anze Kopitar, Olli Jokinen, Alexander Frolov, Michael Cammalleri, Dustin Brown and Lubomir Visnovsky.
