Report: Islanders re-sign Weight
According to a report from Newsday, the New York Islanders have signed veteran Doug Weight for another season.

Weight has agreed to a one-year deal according to Newsday. General Manager Garth Snow told Newsday that the deal was "in essence, done."

Weight suffered a torn labrum and rotator cuff injuries last season, and was limited to 36 games, scoring 1 goal and 16 assists. In 1,220 career regular-season games, Weight, 39, has scored 276 goals to go along with 748 assists.
