Key facts, figures from Game 1 of Cup Final

You won't see many Stanley Cup Final games as wild as the one played Saturday night.

Here are a few of the pertinent numbers from Chicago's wild 6-5 victory over Philadelphia in the series opener at the United Center.

0 -- Playoff games won by the Flyers against the Blackhawks. Chicago has won all five -- a four-game sweep in the 1971 quarterfinals and Game 1 of the Final.

1 -- Goals in this year's playoffs by Philadelphia center Blair Betts. He went 17 games without a goal before scoring in the second period, giving the Flyers a short-lived 4-3 lead. That helped make up for Betts' struggles in the faceoff circle, where he was just 3-10.

2 -- Goals by Chicago's Troy Brouwer, the only player in Game 1 to score more than once. Brouwer's production matched his entire output through Chicago's first three rounds of the playoffs.

3 -- Goals allowed by Philadelphia in the second period. The Flyers had surrendered just seven second-period goals in their first 17 playoff games, while scoring 26. They had two of their own in Game 1, cutting their margin to 28-10.

4 -- Shorthanded goals scored by the Blackhawks in the playoffs -- including two by Dave Bolland, who got his second of the spring on a first-period breakaway. The Hawks lead all playoff teams in goals this spring after leading the League with 13 SHGs during the regular season.

5 ­ -- Goals scored by the two teams (three by Philadelphia, two by Chicago) in the first period. That last time that many goals were scored in the first period of Final game was Game 5 in 2006, when Edmonton outscored Carolina 3-2. The last time five goals were scored in the first period of Game 1 in the Final was 1982, when the New York Islanders scored three times and Vancouver twice in New York's 6-5 OT win.

6 -- Times the Flyers have lost Game 1 in their eight trips to the Stanley Cup Final. They haven't won the opener since beating Edmonton in 1985 -- a series that saw the Oilers win the next four games and the Cup.

6 -- Consecutive Stanley Cup Final games lost by the Flyers. That includes losses in Game 7 in 1987 (to Edmonton), four consecutive losses in 1997 (to Detroit) and Game 1 this year to Chicago.

7 -- Shots blocked by the Flyers, compared with 11 for the Hawks. Chicago also missed the target only seven times, meaning the Hawks got 32 of their 46 attempts on the net.

8 -- Penalty minutes called in the game -- all against Chicago. The Flyers had all four of the game's power plays, scoring once and allowing a shorthanded goal. Philadelphia was the first team not to be called for a penalty since the Boston Bruins in Game 5 against Montreal in 1953.

9 -- Combined minus rating of Chicago's top line. Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews and Dustin Byfuglien were each minus-3. They were the only Blackhawks who were minus players.

10 -- Hits credited to Chicago's Dustin Byfuglien, by far the most of any player on either team. No other Blackhawk had four; that was also the most credited to any Flyer (Darroll Powe), though every Philadelphia skater except Ian Laperriere had at least one.

11 -- Combined goals by the two teams, the most in a Stanley Cup Final game since Pittsburgh beat the Blackhawks 6-5 in Game 4 to complete a sweep in 1992.

11:45 -- Ice time in the first period for Flyers defenseman Chris Pronger, by far the most of any player in any period in Game 1. He finished the game with 32-31, also the most by any player.   Defenseman Duncan Keith led the Blackhawks with 28:14.

12 -- Faceoffs win by Chicago's Jonathan Toews in as many attempts in the first period. Toews was a perfect 12-0 on draws in the first 20 minutes -- the biggest reason the Hawks were 20-8 in the circle in the first period. Toews finished with 18 wins in 24 draws as the Hawks went 40-24 in the faceoff circle.

13 -- Length of Toews' consecutive-game points streak, which came to an end. Chicago's captain hadn't gone without a point since Game 3 of the opening round against Nashville. He still leads all playoff scorers with 26 points.

15 -- Shots on goal allowed by the Blackhawks in the last 40 minutes, after surrendering 17 in the first period. Philadelphia had nine in the second period and just six in the third.

20 -- Shots faced by Philadelphia goaltender Michael Leighton, who was replaced by Brian Boucher with 4:42 left in the second period after Troy Brouwer scored Chicago's fifth goal. Boucher stopped 11 of the 12 shots he faced -- but took the loss when Tomas Kopecky's third-period goal broke a 5-5 tie.

29 -- Years since the Blackhawks had won Game 1 in the Stanley Cup Final. Before beating the Flyers on Saturday, their last series-opening win in the Final was a 2-1 victory over Montreal in 1971.

42 -- Final-round games worked by referee Bill McCreary, who's part of the officiating crew for the 15th time in the last 16 Finals. McCreary tied Bill Chadwick's record for the most games refereed in the Final.
