CALGARY - Brandon Kozun had two goals and two assists as the Calgary Hitmen advanced to the Western Hockey League final with a 6-1 win over the Brandon Wheat Kings on Friday night.

After losing Game 1 to the Wheat Kings, the Hitmen reeled off four straight victories to capture the best-of-seven Eastern Conference final in five games. Calgary will face the winner of the Western Conference final between the Tri-City Americans and Vancouver Giants in the WHL final.

Despite the loss, the Wheat Kings will still take part in the MasterCard Memorial Cup from May 14-23 in Brandon, Man., as the host team.

Calgary goalie Martin Jones made 20 saves and was chosen as the series' most valuable player.

Rookie defenceman Jaynen Rissling scored his first-ever WHL goal for the Hitmen and added two assists, while Joel Broda and Misha Fisenko each had a goal and an assist. Matt MacKenzie also scored for Calgary, which led 2-0 after the first period and 3-0 heading to the third.

Mark Stone scored the lone goal of the game for the Wheat Kings, while goalie Jacob DeSerres finished with 31 saves.
