NEW YORK - Are you one of the 400 million members of Facebook? Are you also an NHL fan? Well then your NHL.com surfing just got a lot more interesting and interactive.

Today, NHL.com becomes one of a handful of global Web publishers to take advantage of brand new Facebook features that make NHL.com content more shareable with your Facebook friends.

The new features were unveiled today by Facebook at its F8 developer conference in San Francisco.

Now, visitors to NHL.com can sign in with their Facebook login and utilize five popular Facebook "Social Plugins" such as the "Like" and Share buttons, Recommendations, and their Friends' Activity Feed. As a result, visitors to NHL.com can declare and share:
  • Their favorite individual players;
  • The teams they root for;
  • The most interesting NHL.com articles;
  • And much more
In the future, NHL.com will deploy Facebook’s Social Plugins on a wider variety of content, such as NHL VideoCenter, NHL GameCenter, NHL GameCenter LIVE and more.
