The Phoenix Coyotes didn't even have to wait for their much-anticipated home game Saturday night against the Colorado Avalanche to clinch their first Stanley Cup Playoff berth since 2002.
The Coyotes (46-23-6, 98 points) have already set Coyotes/Winnipeg Jets franchise records for most wins and points in a single season and entered play on Saturday in fourth place in the Western Conference standings. The Coyotes will host the Colorado Avalanche in front of a sellout crowd at Jobing.com Arena on Saturday night.
