The Western Collegiate Hockey Association has suspended North Dakota forward Matt Frattin for one game.

Frattin, a junior from Edmonton, won't play Thursday when North Dakota faces Minnesota-Duluth in a play-in game to make the WCHA's Final Five tournament.

Frattin received a five-minute penalty Sunday night after he knocked Minnesota's Kevin Wehrs to the ice and prompted a minor skirmish. Wehrs left the game and did not return.

Quote of the Day

I would definitely love to play with him. He's a skilled player and over the years he definitely has shown that he can score a lot of goals. I think it would work out well.
