NBC to air Rangers-Bruins matchup on March 21
NBC will air the matchup between the New York Rangers and Boston Bruins at TD Garden on March 21 as its Game of the Week, beginning at 12:30 p.m. ET.

In this pivotal game for each team’s quest to make the Stanley Cup Playoffs, Zdeno Chara, Tim Thomas, Milan Lucic and the Bruins look to defend home ice against Marian Gaborik, Henrik Lundqvist, Chris Drury and the Rangers. The Bruins and Rangers entered Thursday's action tied with 65 points in the Eastern Conference standings with Boston holding the tie-breaker for the eighth and final playoff spot.

The NHL on NBC resumes this Sunday, March 7, when the Chicago Blackhawks host their division rival the Detroit Red Wings at 12:30 p.m. ET.  The Hawks will also be the home team on March 14, when NBC will televise their game against the Eastern Conference-leading Washington Capitals in a potential preview of the Stanley Cup Final.

On Sunday, April 4, playoff positions will again be on the line when the Red Wings visit the Philadelphia Flyers in the only meeting of the two teams this season.

Quote of the Day

He seemed to thrive on his own and didn't really need any push from me. I certainly don't want to get in the way of the coaches. You see how that goes sometimes. I never really worried about it and just enjoyed the ride.
