Yelle returns to Colorado
Stephane Yelle is returning to the Avalanche as part of a trade that also sends Harrison Reed to Colorado from the Carolina Hurricanes, who get back Cedric Lalone-McNicoll and a sixth-round draft pick in 2010.

Yelle spent his first seven seasons in the NHL with the Avalanche and was part of the team's 2001 Stanley Cup championship. The 35-year-old center has 96 goals and 168 assists in 980 career games with the Avalanche, Calgary Flames, Boston Bruins and Hurricanes.

Reed is a 22-year-old right wing has 1 goals and 5 assists in 49 games with the AHL Albany River Rats. Lalonde-McNicoll, just like Reed, has no NHL experience. The 21-year-old center has 5 goals and 8 assists in 45 games with the AHL Lake Erie Monsters.
Quote of the Day

Obviously there's a lot of expectations around me but it's something I try not to focus on. I'm just trying to go out there, be myself on the ice every day, try to get better, be myself around the guys in the locker room. I think that's what's made me successful and the person that I am.
