Yelle returns to Colorado
Stephane Yelle is returning to the Avalanche as part of a trade that also sends Harrison Reed to Colorado from the Carolina Hurricanes, who get back Cedric Lalone-McNicoll and a sixth-round draft pick in 2010.

Yelle spent his first seven seasons in the NHL with the Avalanche and was part of the team's 2001 Stanley Cup championship. The 35-year-old center has 96 goals and 168 assists in 980 career games with the Avalanche, Calgary Flames, Boston Bruins and Hurricanes.

Reed is a 22-year-old right wing has 1 goals and 5 assists in 49 games with the AHL Albany River Rats. Lalonde-McNicoll, just like Reed, has no NHL experience. The 21-year-old center has 5 goals and 8 assists in 45 games with the AHL Lake Erie Monsters.
