Blues deal Stastny to Canucks
St. Louis and Vancouver swapped minor leaguers Wednesday afternoon with Yan Stastny heading to the Canucks' organization and Pierre-Cedric Labrie going to the Blues.

Stastny, who appeared in four games for the Blues this season, had 27 points in 49 games for the Peoria Rivermen. He has 16 points in 91 NHL games. Labrie had only six points, a minus-13 and 69 penalty minutes rating in 45 games for the Manitoba Moose.
Quote of the Day

You don't see many. The [Drew] Doughtys, the [P.K.] Subbans, those are guys that create offense from the back and then on top of that ability, the size that he has. In the West you play against some pretty big players, and being able to clear the crease and contain the [Ryan] Getzlafs and the [Corey] Perrys and [Anze] Kopitars and players like that, we're excited about him going back there.
