Wild defenseman Stoner has hernia surgery

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -The Minnesota Wild says defenseman Clayton Stoner has undergone successful hernia surgery.

General Manager Chuck Fletcher says Stoner had the surgery Friday in Munich, Germany. He is scheduled to return to Minnesota on Saturday evening. Stoner made the trip to Germany to visit a surgeon who promised a speedy recovery time.

The team says he is expected to be fully recovered in two to four weeks.
