Crosby/Talbot have best advertisement

The Pittsburgh Penguins are proving to be as entertaining off the ice as they are on it.

A commercial featuring Pens captain Sidney Crosby and teammate Maxime Talbot shooting pucks into the Crosby family's famous clothes dryer was voted by NHL fans as the most entertaining NHL-themed commercial of the season (See clip below).

The ad, for Reebok's Speedwick performance T-shirts, features Crosby and Talbot in a contest to see who can shoot nine pucks into the dryer first. The always-entertaining Talbot takes an early lead, but Crosby comes back to win, with him scoring the final goal with his eyes closed.

Talbot does get a bit of his credibility back when he asks Crosby, "How many goals did you score in Game 7 (of the 2009 Stanley Cup Final)? I got two."

The runner-up, by a little more than 400 votes, was an impromptu hockey game on an airport tarmac between Mike Richards and the Philadelphia Flyers and Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals (See clip below). The ad, for Verizon VCast, features a number of players from both teams, and ends with Ovechkin beating Ray Emery to score into the front end of a bulldozer being used as a goal.

In third place was a spot for Geico insurance, featuring another member of the Capitals. When the famed Geico caveman drives an ice resurfacing machine into a Geico ad on the boards, Caps defenseman Mike Green tells the rink manager that the caveman was aiming for the ad (See clip below).

The fourth choice was another Verizon VCast advertisement, featuring the Penguins and Blues. In the spot, players from both teams give fans an encore after just after finishing a game (See clip below).
