DENVER (AP) -The Colorado Avalanche have activated defenseman Adam Foote, their captain who missed seven games with a sprained ankle, and he'll be available for the team's game Friday night at Dallas.
Foote was injured Jan. 8 at Carolina. The Avalanche went 6-1 in Foote's absence, their only loss in that stretch a 1-0 heartbreaker to the Minnesota Wild on Thursday night.
The Avalanche also reassigned defenseman Wes O'Neill to the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey League.
