Czarnik, Seguin each score twice, lead Whalers over rival Spitfires 7-4

PLYMOUTH, Mass. - Robbie Czarnik and Tyler Seguin each scored twice to lead the Plymouth Whalers to a 7-4 win over the Windsor Spitfires in Ontario Hockey League action Monday.

Czarnik also had two assists, while Seguin added one assist and took over the OHL scoring lead with 71 points. Michal Jordan, who has scored in eight of his last nine games, had a goal and two assists, while Ryan Hayes and Joe Gaynor also scored for the Whalers (26-20-1).

Plymouth captain AJ Jenks chipped in a pair of assists.

Matt Hackett earned the win with a 32-save outing.

Eric Wellwood recorded a goal and three assists for the Spitfires, who also had two goals from Justin Shugg and two assists from Scott Timmins.

Taylor Hall, held to just an assist Monday, is now second in OHL scoring with 70 points.

Kenny Ryan added a goal for Windsor (35-7-4), which has now lost two straight games to its cross-border rivals.

Troy Passingham and Phillip Grubauer combined for 25 saves in the Windsor goal.
