The schedules prepared before the start of the season show three games on Sunday's schedule. But thanks to the mid-game postponement of the Tampa Bay-New Jersey game on Friday night, there's some extra hockey to be had.
The Lightning and Devils will get together at 6 p.m. ET to pick up where they left off when a bank of lights failed at the Prudential Center midway through the second period. They'll pick things up with 9:12 remaining in the second period and the Bolts leading 3-0. Both teams also played Saturday: New Jersey won 2-1 in overtime at Montreal, while Tampa Bay lost 4-1 at Philadelphia.
Sunday's action starts at 5 p.m. ET when the
Ottawa Senators visit the
Carolina Hurricanes. Carolina is coming off a 2-1 home win over Colorado, while Ottawa lost x-x to Florida at home on Saturday.
The other two games get under way at 7 p.m. ET. The
Dallas Stars pay their first visit of the season to Columbus, where the Jackets are coming home after sweeping two games in Alberta. Also, the
Anaheim Ducks spend their second Sunday in a row at the United Center playing the Blackhawks. Chicago won 5-2 last week, but the Hawks are coming off a 6-5 shootout loss in Minnesota on Saturday -- a game in which they led 5-1 with less than 14 minutes left in regulation -- while Anaheim won 3-2 at Nashville.
