In his four-plus season in the NHL, Alex Ovechkin has earned a prominent place in hockey history. The two-time defending Hart Trophy, Lester B. Pearson Award and Rocket Richard Trophy winner already has scored more memorable goals than most players do in an entire career.

The NHL Network will celebrate Ovechkin's some of those memorable tallies on Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. ET when it presents "An Ovechkin Ovation: Alex’s Greatest Goals."  The 30-minute program will look at which of Ovechkin’s goal-scoring exploits is the best and features Ovechkin commenting on his favorite goals. Some of Ovechkin’s Washington teammates join Capitals media personalities and other hockey notables in discussing Alex’s most spectacular and jaw-dropping goals.

Ovechkin has scored 20 goals in the 22 games he's played this season, one behind League leader Marian Gaborik of the New York Rangers.

"An Ovechkin Ovation: Alex's Greatest Goals," begins at 7 p.m. ET in the U.S. and Canada and can be viewed in high-definition in the U.S. Immediately after the show, U.S. viewers will see Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and the rest of the defending Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins travel to Montreal to square off against the Canadiens at 7:30 p.m. ET
