DENVER (AP) -The Colorado Avalanche have recalled forward Chris Durno and defenseman Brian Fahey from the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey League.

The team says both players will be available for Friday's game against the Minnesota Wild.

This is the third time Durno has been recalled this season. The Scarborough, Ontario native has played in five games with the Avalanche this season, getting one assist.

The Avalanche also sent defenseman T.J. Hensick to Lake Erie and placed defenseman Adam Foote on injured reserve, retroactive to Nov. 17 because of a jaw injury.

Quote of the Day

For six months, it's a real battle to get into the playoffs in the NHL these days. There are a lot of good teams, and it takes consistency over a long time.
