It's a two-team show on Tuesday night, as one game will take place as a prelude to Wednesday's 14-game marathon.

The Montreal Canadiens and Columbus Blue Jackets will take center stage with opening faceoff set for 7:30 p.m. ET from the Bell Centre.

Columbus is coming off a dreadful performance on Monday at Madison Square Garden, where the Jackets dropped a 7-4 decision to the New York Rangers. Steve Mason, last season's Calder Trophy winner, allowed four goals on just 18 shots, while captain Rick Nash was a minus-4.

Montreal, which acquired Benoit Pouliot from the Minnesota Wild on Monday in exchange for Guillaume Latendresse, is coming off a 3-2 shootout loss to Detroit on Saturday.

Tuesday's game can be seen both on TSN and RDS in Canada.
