ABBOTSFORD, B.C. - Greg Moore got a measure of revenge Saturday night when he scored the shootout winner to give the Bridgeport Sound Tigers a 4-3 win over the Abbotsford Heat in American Hockey League action.

Moore was briefly sidelined late in the first period when he took an elbow from Heat defenceman Matt Pelech. Pelech was handed a major penalty for elbowing and a game misconduct on the play. Moore returned for the second period.

In the shootout, Moore, the Sound Tigers' second shooter, faked Heat starter Matt Keetley and went to the backhand for the winner.

"It's really the only thing I've got. For the last two years I've done it a lot," said Moore of the move. "As long as I haven't done it on that goalie before, I just like to do that reverse toe and go backhand."

Bridgeport (11-10-1) played catch up all night - they entered the third down 3-1, but battled back forcing overtime.

Just past the halfway point of the third Jesse Joensuu cut through the middle of the ice and beat Keetley low glove side completing the comeback for the Sound Tigers, who are now riding a four-game winning streak.

"We had a good mentality going into the third and we kept battling hard," said Moore. "They came out real strong tonight and really put us on our heels for a lot of the night, but we just kept plugging away, tried to get the power play going and found some ways to get goals."

The special teams battle played a huge role in Bridgeport's ability to come back as their scored all three of their goals with the man advantage and finished the night 3-for-7.

Abbotsford (10-9-4) looked to have the game in control when Garth Murray picked up his second of the night giving the Heat a 3-1 lead half way through the second period.

"I thought we got to a point in the game where we took dumb, lazy penalties," said head coach Jim Playfair. "I thought our leadership didn't step up and take control of the game. I thought our goaltending was not good, and that cost us the two points."

Both teams had opportunities to win the game in over time with Bridgeport's Tomas Marcinko hitting the side of the net in the dying seconds. Moments earlier Abbotsford's Garth Murray had an excellent chance for his third of the night but could not beat Adam Munroe.

The Heat's other goal came from Riley Armstrong.

Bridgeport had a pair from Sean Bentivoglio.

Keetley (0-3-0) made 32 saves in the loss while Munroe (5-5-1) stopped 41 for the win.
