LOS ANGELES (AP) -Jarome Iginla scored a goal in each period to lead the Calgary Flames to a 5-2 victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday.
Iginla completed his first hat trick of the season, and ninth of his career, with a shot from the right circle that got past goalie Jonathan Quick with 4:07 left in the game. It was Iginla's 11th goal in his last nine games.
The Calgary captain scored the Flames' first goal just 13 seconds after the opening faceoff. He tied it at 2 during a 5-on-3 power play 6:51 into the second.
Iginla was in the penalty box when Daymond Langkow scored a key short-handed goal for Calgary to break a 2-2 tie early in the third period.
David Moss also scored for the Flames and Miikka Kiprusoff made 23 saves.
Drew Doughty and Alexander Frolov scored for the Kings.
