The Saint John Sea Dogs are picking up where they left off before the Super Series break.
Saint John won its 14th consecutive game Friday, as Mike Hoffman and Tomas Jurco scored in the shootout to lift the Sea Dogs over the Drummondville Voltigeurs in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
The win was one of the closest in the Sea Dogs' streak. After building a 3-2 lead, Saint John started to slip and allowed Gabriel Dumont to score for the Voltigeurs with four minutes left in regulation.
The Sea Dogs regained their form in the shootout, with two answered goals to seal the victory.
Saint John's run is the 10th longest in QMJHL history. The current streak ties the Sea Dogs with the Sorel Eperviers ('72-'73), Quebec Remparts ('05-'06) and the Moncton Wildcats ('05-'06).
Elsewhere in the QMJHL, it was: Moncton 5 P.E.I. 4; Baie-Comeau 2 Rimouski 0; Acadie-Bathurst 5 Chicoutimi 4 (SO); Victoriaville 3 Gatineau 2 (SO); Rouyn-Noranda 8 Val-d'Or 3; Shawinigan 6 Quebec 1; and Montreal 4 Halifax 3 (SO).
At Drummondville, Que., Jurco opened scoring for Saint John over the rival Voltigeurs in the first night of action after the Quebec all-stars faced the Russian Selects in two exhibition games.
Kevin Gagne and Nicholas Petersen added singles for the Sea Dogs (22-4-1).
Ryan McKiernan, Sean Couturier, and Dumont had the goals for Drummondville (19-5-1).

Wildcats 5 Rocket 4
At Moncton, N.B., captain Scott Brennan had a hat trick and added an assist as the Wildcats edged P.E.I.
Ted Stephens and David Savard also scored for Moncton (13-7-3).
Joel Champagne, Josh Currie and Benjamin Casavant each had a goal and two assists for the Rocket (11-9-3), while Chris Doyle added a single.

At Baie-Comeau, Que., Nathan Dunnett made 25 saves as the Drakkar shut out Rimouski.
Gabriel Bourque scored two power-plays goals, including an empty-netter to lead Baie-Comeau (6-16-3).
Matthew Dopud stopped 27 shots for Rimouski (12-11-3).

At Bathurst, N.B., Remi Blanchard had the shootout winner as Acadie-Bathurst slipped past Chicoutimi.
Jonathan Lessard, Taylor Lambke, Derek Famulare, Eric Faille also had goals for Acadie-Bathurst (9-14-3).
Dominic Jalbert, Jacob Lagace, Nicolas Deschamps, Alexandre Lavoie all found the back of the net for Chicoutimi (11-8-5).

Tigres 3 at Olympiques 2 (SO)
At Gatineau, Que., Andrej Nestrasil and Brandon Hynes scored in the shootout to lead Victoriaville over the Olympiques.
Marc-Andre Laroche and Olivier Hinse had goals for the Tigres (18-7-1).
Alexandre Quesnel and Denis Kindl replied for Gatineau (14-9-1).

Huskies 8 Foreurs 3
At Rouyn-Noranda, Que., Jean-Sebastien Berube scored twice added an assist as the Huskies rolled Val-d'Or.
Gabriel O'Connor scored twice for Rouyn-Noranda (15-11-3), while Philippe Cornet, Dmitri Kostromitin, Gabriel Levesque and Jerome Raymond also had markers.
Jonathan Hazen found the back of the net twice for the Foreurs (9-16-2), while Samuel Morneau added a single.

At Shawinigan, Que., Michael Bournival had a goal and two assists as the Cataractes stomped Quebec City.
Charles-Olivier Roussel, Antoine Houde-Caron, Nicolas Larocque-Marcoux, Pierrick Martel and Maxime Legault scored for Shawinigan (11-10-3).
Patrick Cusack was the lone scorer for Quebec (16-5-5).

At Verdun, Que., Jeremy Gouchie scored in regulation and the shootout to lead Montreal over Halifax.
Hubert Genest and Nicolas Chouinard had markers for the Junior (12-12-1).
Carl Gelinas, Linden Bahm, and Tomas Knotek found the back of the net for the Mooseheads (5-18-2).
