OTTAWA - Marc Anthony Zanetti and Tyler Toffoli had a goal and an assist each Friday night as the Ottawa 67's game from behind to beat the Plymouth Whalers 4-3 in Ontario Hockey League action at the Urbandale Centre.
The 67's trailed 3-1 entering the third period but rallied for their fourth straight win - their longest winning streak of the season.
Zanetti scored the winner with less than seven minutes to play in the third period after Thomas Nesbitt had tied the game just past the half-way point of the period. Toffoli had pulled the 67's (9-10-5) to within a goal five minutes into the period.
Dalton Smith scored a first-period goal for the 67's, who got an 18-save performance from Chris Perugini.
AJ Jenks and Beau Schmitz had a goal and an assist each for the Whalers (13-10-0) while Myles McCauley had the other marker. Matt Hackett was tested often in the Plymouth goal facing 33 shots, including 13 in the third period.
