Daley caps hat trick with overtime winner as Petes down Generals 4-3

OSHAWA, Ont. - Pat Daley capped a three-goal night Friday with the overtime winner as the Peterborough Petes earned a 4-3 victory over the Oshawa Generals in Ontario Hockey League action Friday.

Daley's first two of the night came on the power play in regulation and the winner came just 53 seconds into overtime. Justin Larson scored the other Peterborough marker on the goal, 1:36 into the game.

Christian Thomas, Jeff Hayes and Boone Jenner replied for Oshawa.

Petes goaltender Jason Missiaen faced 51 Oshawa shots, stopping 48 of them, while Michael Zador stopped 37 for the Generals.

Both teams had ample opportunities on the power play with the Petes scoring twice on eight chance and the Generals once in seven chances.

With the win the Petes improved to 12-13-0 and dropped the Generals to 8-12-3.
