NEW YORK - Calgary Flames winger Jarome Iginla, San Jose Sharks goaltender Evgeni Nabokov and Philadelphia Flyers defenceman Chris Pronger were named the NHL's three stars of the week Monday.

Iginla recorded five points in three games, including a league-leading four goals as the Flames posted three consecutive victories.

Nabokov posted a 2-0-1 record with a 0.95 goals-against average and .967 save percentage as the Sharks climbed to first place in the NHL's overall standings.

Pronger led all defencemen in scoring with a goal and four assists to help the Flyers to three consecutive victories.

Quote of the Day

The groove of being behind a bench is going to be interesting at first, but thank God we have a few exhibition games to get rid of those cobwebs. Overall the excitement of it all and the freshness and coming back refreshed, all those things are going to be assets. If [the players] come ready to give their best effort in practice and games, good things are going to happen. I'm always looking for results. It's not always on the scoreboard. It's winning and building something.
