CHILLIWACK, B.C. - Ryan Howse scored his third goal of the game in overtime and the Chilliwack Bruins defeated the Edmonton Oil Kings 5-4 in Western Hockey League action Saturday.
After Brent Raedeke scored two straight goals in early in the third period to give Edmonton a 3-2 lead, Howse replied with two of his own to put Chilliwack up 4-3.
Brett Breitkreuz scored with less than two minutes left in regulation to send the game to overtime, but Howse came through for the Bruins again with a power-play goal 3:03 into the extra period.
Roman Horak and Kevin Sundher had Chilliwack's other goals.
Robin Soudek also scored for Edmonton.
Lucas Gore made 26 saves for the Bruins (8-9-4), while Cam Lanigan stopped 24 shots for the Oil Kings (7-10-5).
