CALGARY - Joel Broda scored 57 seconds into overtime on the power play to lead the Calgary Hitmen to a 3-2 win over the Everett Silvertips in Western Hockey League action on Friday night.
Michael Stone and Austin Madaisky both had goals in the first period as Calgary (15-5-0) built up a 2-1 lead.
Chris Langkow and Tyler Maxwell scored for Everett (10-5-1), who also lost to the Lethbridge Hurricanes 3-2 on Wednesday night.
With Everett's Rasmus Rissanen in the penalty box for tripping, Broda redirected a pass from Brandon Kozun past Silvertip goalie Thomas Heemskerk to give the Hitmen their second straight victory.
Calgary goalie Martin Jones made 25 saves to record the victory, while Heemskerk stopped 29 shots.
