The misery continues for the Halifax Mooseheads.
Nicholas Pard scored the game-winner with under two minutes to play in the third as the Saint John Sea Dogs escaped with a 3-2 win over the Mooseheads in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action Wednesday. The loss drops the league-worst Mooseheads to 1-18-1 on the season.
With the win, Atlantic Division-leading Saint John improves to 17-4-1.
Elsewhere in the QMJHL it was: Victoriaville 5 Drummondville 1; and Lewiston 5 Montreal 4.
At Saint John, N.B., Nicholas Petersen opened the scoring for the Sea Dogs at 11:19 of the first.
Halifax's Carl Gelinas tied it at 10:36 of the second on the power play to make it 1-1 heading to the third.
The Sea Dogs regained the lead thanks to Stanislav Galiev at 1:04 of the final period, before Gerrad Grant tied it 2-2 at 13:03.
Grant's goal was Halifax's second with the man advantage.
Marc-Antoine Gelinas made 17 saves to get the win for Saint John, while Mathieu Corbeil-Theriault stopped 23 shots in defeat.
Tigres 5 Voltigeurs 1
At Drummondville, Que., Tomas Kubalik scored twice in Victoriaville's win over the Voltigeurs.
Andrej Nestrasil, Brandon Hynes and Phillip Danault also scored for the Tigres (13-7-1).
Philippe Bergeron scored the only goal for Drummondville (15-3-1).

Maineiacs 5 Junior 4
At Montreal, Alexander Beaton had a goal and an assist for Lewiston in the Maineiacs win over the Junior.
Samuel Henley, Marco Desveaux, Samuel Carrier and Jean-Francois Plante also scored for Lewiston (10-8-0).
Trevor Parkes scored three times for the Junior, while Jeremy Gouchie had the other for Montreal (9-9-1).
