Darren Archibald leads the way as Colts down Attack 6-1 in OHL action

OWEN SOUND, Ont. - Darren Archibald scored two goals and added two assists for Barrie as the Colts thumped the Owen Sound Attack 6-1 in Ontario Hockey League action Wednesday.

Marcus Carroll opened the scoring for Owen Sound (7-11-3) at 7:41 of the first, but Alex Hutchings and Stefan Della Rovere scored before the period was out to give Barrie (13-4-1) a 2-1 lead after one.

Archibald scored the only goal of the second, before Barrie exploded for three more in the third.

Bryan Cameron, Archibald and Taylor Carnevale added goals for the Colts as Barrie stretched its lead to 6-1.

Peter Di Salvo made 22 saves to pick up the win, while Scott Stajcer made 39 stops in defeat.
