There are five games on Tuesday night's schedule to keep hockey fans entertained, including an Original Six matchup, three Canadian teams hosting action and the defending Stanley Cup champions beginning a Western road trip.

It all starts at 7 p.m. ET with the Boston Bruins traveling to Joe Louis Arena to face the Detroit Red Wings. The Bruins (6-6-1) split a pair of matinees over the weekend, shutting out the Oilers on Saturday before they were blanked 1-0 by the Rangers on Sunday. The Wings (5-4-3) return home from an extended road trip that ended in satisfying fashion with a 3-1 win over the Flames on Saturday.

There are a pair of 7:30 games, with the Montreal Canadiens hosting the Atlanta Thrashers and the Toronto Maple Leafs welcoming in the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Canadiens (7-7-0) come off a 5-4 shootout win over the Leafs at Bell Centre and have won five of seven, while the Thrashers (5-4-1) find themselves in the middle of the pack in the Southeast Division.

The Leafs (1-7-4), seeking their first win at the Air Canada Centre, are hoping Phil Kessel might make his debut with the team, while the Lightning (4-4-4) look to get the bad taste of Monday's 6-2 loss to the Flyers out of their mouths.

Closing out the evening are a pair of 10 p.m. starts, featuring the New York Rangers at the Vancouver Canucks and the Pittsburgh Penguins at the Anaheim Ducks.

The Rangers (9-5-1) ended a 1-4-1 skid behind Henrik Lundqvist's shutout of the Bruins on Sunday. The Canucks (8-7-0) have been playing without their elite goaltender, as Roberto Luongo recovers from a hairline fracture to his rib, but Andrew Raycroft has filled in admirably, winning two of his three starts.

The Penguins (11-3-0) will put their perfect 6-0-0 road record on the line when they face the Ducks (4-6-2), who are just 2-5-0 at the Honda Center.
