Watch the Hawks play Davos on NHL.com

Monday, 09.28.2009 / 9:52 AM / 2009 Compuware NHL Premiere

Hockey fans can see the Chicago Blackhawks in action against HC Davos in Zurich today right here at NHL.com, starting at 2:15 p.m. ET.

The Blackhawks are playing Davos today in an exhibition game prior to Tuesday's Victoria Cup match against ZSC Lions, also in Zurich.

For the Hawks, these exhibitions represent the last tune-up before they meet the Florida Panthers Friday in their 2009-10 season opener in Helsinki as part of the Compuware NHL Premiere Challenge.

Chicago coach Joel Quenneville told NHL.com's Shawn Roarke that the unique circumstances of this game -- playing against an unknown opponent on a larger ice surface less than 72 hours after travelling to another continent -- will not factor in his appraisal of his team.

"I think this team we're playing tonight is a pretty good hockey team," Quenneville said. "They are fast and they can make plays. We expect some time in our end and we expect some challenges."
Quote of the Day

We think that Randy is a very good coach. Our players think that Randy is a very good coach. We think that he's going to get the most out of this group. With the addition of the two assistants, a bit of a different dynamic, we're very comfortable that this is a quality coaching staff that's going to maximize the potential of this team.
